Every day we are bombarded not just by
viruses and bacteria, but also a new kind of enemy: Environmental toxicity.
While
we may not be aware of the ill effects of toxic air and substances on our
system, we are, at least, aware it is ever-present in our daily lives. The
painful truth is, today's world is making people sick.
And
while we may not feel it immediately, the slow buildup will eventually present
itself as full-blown illness. If we do not heed the signs to prevent what we
can at an early stage, then sickness is inevitable.
Dr.
Steve Nelson, founder of the Synergy Wellness Clinic in California, explains
how the onslaught of environmental poisons can cause health problems beyond our
wildest expectations.
Case in
point is a 40-year-old patient who was labeled a juvenile diabetic at age 28.
Tests showed her blood sugar was neither elevated nor low. Since juvenile
diabetics are diagnosed between ages 8 and 9, she wasn't a true diabetic. So
why did she need insulin shots?
From a
hair sample, a scan showed she had a sub-acute virus in her liver and that she
was being poisoned by DDT and paraquat. After having been subjected to
nutritional IVs and homeopathic drops, today she is no longer on insulin.
Sleep disorders
Many
people can't go to sleep or claim not to have quality sleep. Never-before-seen
conditions are emerging, mostly neurotransmitter disorders.
The
culprit? Chemicals that can cause many things because they affect the nerve
pathways.
It
sounds complicated-direct petrochemical evaporation quotient. Simply put, the
higher evaporation of petrochemicals in the water when exposed to higher
temperatures.
Chemicals
from plasticizers and plastic bottles leach into the water. The remedy? Keep
your water bottle cool or chilled and don't leave it in the heat of the sun.
Heart problems and more
Do you
know that amalgam leakage in your dental work is dangerous? Mercury, palladium
and beryllium plus other alloys can affect the meridians in your mouth.
Wellness
experts believe each tooth corresponds to an organ system in the body. Take the
case of a patient who had cardiac problems. Once his tooth was fixed, the
problems went away.
Or
consider a 40-ish woman with a hearing problem. It turned out the tooth nearest
the ear was decayed. Once the tooth was fixed, the hearing returned to normal.
Dehydrated cells
Imagine
a cell phone attached to your ear 24/7. This causes a drying effect on the
entire system of the body. In short, the cells get dried out.
Because
our cells need hydration, it is best not to expose the body to gadgets with
high electrical fields, such as mobile phone, laptop, MRI, microwave oven.
While some of these are used daily, you can minimize their usage.
Yeast as culprit
More
and more health practitioners are beginning to understand that a seemingly
harmless microorganism called yeast can cause a lot of trouble.
After a
round of antibiotics, it is wise to take probiotic support to prevent yeast
from taking up residence in your body. And long after your antibiotic
treatment, consider taking probiotics (live, natural bacteria) like acidophiles
as regular maintenance.
Water as medicine
Sure,
you take tea and coffee. And you think it's enough liquid in your body? Wrong.
How
much water do you need? Take your weight, divide by two, and that's the
equivalent amount in ounces of water you will need daily. Less than this, and
you are a certified dehydrated person.
Consume
daily an almost-magic ingredient: sea salt. Add 1 tsp water and allow the
solution to melt in your mouth. Sea salt contains 97-per cent minerals. There
is very little sodium in it.
To most
people, salt is sodium chloride or table salt. Table salt causes high-blood
pressure. Sea salt is the safest salt of all. It is used to regulate high-blood
pressure.
Constipation
Time
and again, this problem keeps recurring.
Check
out the state of your mind. Stressed out? Take a break. Avoid shallow rapid
breathing. Make it a habit to take deep breaths.
Not
eating enough fiber-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables? If you have
digestion problems, chances are you are not producing enough digestive enzymes.
As we grow older, the body's production of stomach acids decreases.
Studies
have also shown that physically active individuals don't suffer from
constipation.
Wellness Rx
1. See
your dentist. Have all your mercury fillings removed. Have a cleaning twice a
year.
2. Take
at least 1 tsp sea salt daily. Consume 10-15 glasses water daily.
3.
Fiber is the best to keep your gut running smoothly. Fiber supplements, fruits
and vegetables are a good combination to avoid constipation.
4.
Consider taking hydrochloric acid and betaine supplements to improve digestion.
